Review: Women of Good Fortune

This story took me forever to get into. Each of the characters were so dislikable that I had to force myself to keep reading. And if I hadn't requested it as an ARC I might have stopped reading it.

But I'm so glad I didn't.

They each grew throughout the novel and they also made their way into my heart and as the plot got more and more convoluted, I was so invested in each of them and in finding out what happens. I loved the way the story came together and I laughed and I cried and I cheered.

I'm so glad I didn't give up on this one.

Review: Finding Grace

Finding Grace by Loretta Rothschild My rating: 4 of 5 stars I read A LOT of books so it's really really rare for me to find a book with a premise I have never seen before. And this one took the cake. By the end of the first chapter, you're like WHOA did not see that coming. And then you're spending a bunch of the rest of this book reorienting. I know people will have mixed feelings but I loved it. I liked the twist and then the turn the story took. I liked how the author played with the way stories are told. I liked how the characters grew and surprised you both with their stupidity and humanness. I think this one will be controversial, people will love or hate. I am of the former camp.
