I read this book about two weeks ago and I will be honest that I have forgotten most of it. I picked it up because Espach has a new book coming out this year which I loved so I wanted to go back and read her earlier work. Even though I don't remember much of this novel, I remember thinking that I really liked it and thought it covered similar topics to the new one and with similar wisdom but it wasn't as good. I will go back and read more of her work. I've liked each of her books that I've read so far and this was no exception.

The Strange Case of Jane O. by Karen Thompson Walker My rating: 5 of 5 stars I don't even know how to write a review for this book. It's strange :) This is the story of Jane O. who walks into the office of her therapist, which she only met once many years before (even though he doesn't remember) and then doesn't come back. Until he gets a call that she woke up in the park and is now at the hospital and can't remember the last day. The story goes back and forth between Jane's diary entries and the therapist. And the more we find out, the more confused we get. It becomes hard to understand what's real and what's not. And you have to be willing to suspend your disbelief and just go with it. Review: Finding Grace

Finding Grace by Loretta Rothschild My rating: 4 of 5 stars I read A LOT of books so it's really really rare for me to find a book with a premise I have never seen before. And this one took the cake. By the end of the first chapter, you're like WHOA did not see that coming. And then you're spending a bunch of the rest of this book reorienting. I know people will have mixed feelings but I loved it. I liked the twist and then the turn the story took. I liked how the author played with the way stories are told. I liked how the characters grew and surprised you both with their stupidity and humanness. I think this one will be controversial, people will love or hate. I am of the former camp.
